Michael Savarino: Basketball and Covid

My project about a Duke Basketball Player during Covid Times is a story that I can personally relate to, but also something that I feel any viewer can also relate to in a way. Michael, the subject of my project and a Duke University student and basketball player, had a year unlike any other. I also had to deal with these same challenges, which even at time affected the direction that this project went. However even through these times, he and I both persevered and continued to get through each day with the mindset that things would get better and it was important to do his best with everything that we could control.

Even though viewers of this project may not have had the same circumstances that we had in our daily lives, every person has had to deal with this year and it’s struggles in their own way. Hopefully seeing this project can give a little bit of insight into someone else’s story throughout this unique year.
