Crossing Borders Through Coronavirus: My Journey During the Pandemic

My time with Bill Whitmore was short but sweet. From the second we met, we instantly hit it off. I was so excited to be working with someone as accomplished, friendly, and intriguing as Bill. I attempted to display his character and the happiness within his smile, mainly through portraiture. I loved getting to know him in the time we worked together, and I believe his warm radiance transcends into the photos I was able to capture. In a very short period of time and in few photos, it is easily recognizable the beloved King that Bill truly is, and town of Hillsborough his Kingdom.

I was so immersed in my semester and enjoying myself at Duke, that everything occurring on the outside world seemed irrelevant. Before I knew it, Spring Break rolled around and I was making my way to Canada with my boyfriend. I had no idea at the time that I was about to embark on a long journey, with Canada only being my first stop.
